"The Sounds of Thunder"

This painting was a vision I had of white horses and wanted to paint it at autumn season.
The hills in the background and autumn trees with the bright autumn tree at the left of the horses compliment each other.

The horses are running free and wild and I was going to put a black horse at the lead of the white ones but thought it would stand out too much so I put the dark brown one.

I have a granddaughter that likes horses and used to ride them and she knew how to saddle a horse too. She is a teenager now and things change when you get to be teenagers.

Job 37:5 "God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend."

  1. I'll bet you had fun with this one, Ruth. Now will your granddaughter enjoy the painting even though she is no longer a little girl who dreams about horses?? I'll bet she will.... I can hear them thundering across the meadow.
